LaReina Hillseth
Founder and stylist LaReina Hillseth brings more than two decades of experience in hairstyling and makeup artistry to Goldfinch. A California native and longtime Oakland resident, she draws endless inspiration from the landscapes, culture, and creative spirit of the West Coast.
Known for her intuitive approach and commitment to continued education, LaReina combines advanced cutting and coloring techniques with a deep appreciation for each client’s natural beauty. Her aesthetic blends California ease, vintage charm, and a sense of adventure, creating looks that feel effortless, personal, and timeless.
When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll likely find her traveling, camping, surfing, or exploring somewhere new.

Laura Kingston
Laura’s love of hairstyling began with Barbie dolls and patient friends before becoming a lifelong profession. Since completing her formal training in 2001, she has continued to refine her craft through advanced education with Vidal Sassoon, Nick Arrojo, Wella, Salt Society, and others.
Laura believes great hair starts with great communication. She takes the time to listen, collaborate, and help clients achieve a look that feels authentic, flattering, and easy to maintain. Her approach balances technical skill with creativity, always tailored to the individual in her chair.
Outside the salon, Laura spends her time chasing after her daughters, decorating with bold colors and playful patterns, and enjoying a well-earned scoop of mint chip ice cream.

Ceci
Ceci began her career in her hometown of Santa Cruz before moving to San Francisco to deepen her focus on haircutting through advanced apprenticeship and education. She has trained with respected industry leaders including Oribe, R+Co, Pony Salon, Bumble and bumble, and Dre Donoghue.
Influenced by her coastal upbringing, Ceci’s work reflects a sense of ease, movement, and individuality. She specializes in creating haircuts that complement each client’s lifestyle, texture, and personal style, blending modern technique with an effortless California sensibility.
When she’s away from the salon, you’ll find her exploring Oakland with her husband and son, treasure hunting at flea markets, or taking scenic drives around the Bay Area.

Theresa Wondra
With more than 23 years of experience, Theresa Wondra is passionate about helping clients embrace and celebrate their natural hair. As a curly hair specialist, she is known for creating customized cuts, color, and treatments that enhance texture while remaining healthy, wearable, and easy to maintain.
Theresa is committed to ongoing education and stays current with the latest advancements in cutting, coloring, and smoothing techniques. She values clean, non-toxic, and organic product choices whenever possible, helping clients achieve beautiful results with a thoughtful approach to haircare.
Outside the salon, Theresa enjoys hiking throughout the East Bay, reading, exploring tarot, and spending time with friends and her cat.

Originally from Oregon, Morgan Leek brings a diverse creative background to her work behind the chair. After earning a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management, she followed her passion for beauty and completed her cosmetology training at the Aveda Institute in Chicago.
Over the past 19 years, Morgan has continually expanded her expertise through advanced education with leading brands including Kérastase, Bumble and bumble, Goldwell, and L’Oréal. She specializes in color, cutting, and special occasion styling, helping clients look and feel their absolute best for both everyday life and memorable events.
When she’s not in the salon, Morgan enjoys hiking, biking, running, and exploring California with friends and family.
